History
St Mark’s UNEchurch stands on a piece of land given to the Anglican Church when the Wright family bequeathed the land for the university. The first chapel was in place in 1959, and with growth of the ministry was replaced in 1971 with the current building. Today ‘The Chapel’ has grown up with the students and university, with a full range of ages and ministries across it’s congregations.
St Mark’s is an inter-denominational ministry of the Armidale Diocese of the Anglican Church. This has been a thoroughly evangelical diocese for several decades.
